New underpass on Dwarka Expressway: Open for commuters
The Sector 102-Basai underpass located on the Dwarka Expressway has been opened to the public from today. In this underpass, two lanes have been made for going and two lanes for coming. With its opening, people of large parts including Dhankot, Sector 102, 102A will not have to take an additional detour of about 4 km. This underpass will also connect the Basai flyover, which will make the movement of people in a large part of the city even easier.
With the opening of the underpass, Dhankot village and Sector 102 and 102A will now be directly connected to the city. People of this area will now be able to easily commute to Faridabad, Sohna, Gurgaon, and Delhi-Jaipur Highway. NHAI Project Director Akash Pahari said that the length of the underpass is 548 meters.
The official also said that the construction of the underpass was completed and preparations were being finalized for opening it for several days. The movement of vehicles was started on it from Monday morning itself. The Basai overpass was inaugurated in April 2023 by the then Chief Minister Manohar Lal.
Development in surrounding areas
This underpass is important for the rapidly developing areas of Gurgaon like 32 Milestone Gurgaon, DLF Crest, and Sapphire Ninety. It not only connects these areas to the main city, but people living here will have easy access to Delhi and other major destinations.
Gaur City 1 and Gaur City Noida, and Sector 127 Noida of Noida are also areas which are known for their excellent connectivity and modern facilities. People of these areas can now easily reach Gurgaon and Delhi.
Real estate boom is also being seen in Sector 85 and Royal Green of Gurgaon. New residential and commercial projects like AIPL Business Club, Galaxy Heights, and Magnum Tower are also moving towards development here.
